We laughed and cried together, shared our love life woes, danced, chased a drink location with a view, argued over which Bondi RSL was better (North Bondi will forever be my favourite now) and shared a love of so many kids who we both taught. I’ll miss our chats, our laughs, our adventures, and the way Sarah was never afraid to challenge me to be a better version of myself. Xxx

Dear Kelley family, I can't begin to imagine what you are going through right now, and I am so sorry for your loss. Miss Kelley, as we all knew her, was an incredible teacher and I was lucky enough for my one of my children to have her as their teacher three years ago. He was having a tough year and he wasn't the easiest student to have in class and Sarah never gave up on him, she tried so many different strategies and he ended up having an amazing year. The following year term 1, he was selected as an SRC for his class and I went straight up to her and said ' that was all you'. My other daughter had her for choir and simply adored her. I messaged Sarah in January to tell her how much my daughter was hoping to have her as a teacher. Thinking of you all, she will be greatly missed, but know that in her short life she has made such an impact on so many children's lives. Sending you all our love, the Gribble family xxxx

It had been a while since I had seen Sarah, then you were all out walking in coogee as a family, and I was going to come and say hi, but you bumped into other friends, so I thought to myself, next time... It breaks my heart that there won't be a next time. Sarah was always smiling and shared her light with all around her. Deeply missed by all who had the fortune to meet her.

Out of the blue my daughter was saying, days before hearing of Sarah’s passing, that she was her all time favourite teacher. I loved seeing Sarah striding confidently through the schoolyard, without fail, a smile wide across her face. My child and I said some nice words about Sarah, remembered that smile and threw some seashells in the ocean for her. All our best to her family, friends and colleagues. Sarah will be missed by all she knew. xo
