Stand with Wayside Chapel and 'Donate a Plate' to feed a person living on our streets this Christmas.
For the 35,011 people experiencing homelessness in NSW, Christmas is a lonely and difficult time of the year.
We urgently need to raise $1,400,000 by 25 December to make sure the vulnerable members of our community are fed and supported this Christmas.
Please 'Donate a Plate' now to sponsor a Christmas meal with all the trimmings, and ensure that people doing it tough during the holiday season receive the love, care and support they deserve.
Because no one should go hungry or be alone at Christmas.
Together, we can show people living on and around our streets that they are loved, and not forgotten.
'This Christmas period, we're seeing an increase in demand for our support and services we provide for our visitors. All funds raised will go towards meals and support services delivered over the festive season, including Wayside's Christmas Street Party that we're hosting for our visitors on Christmas day!'

The Problem
Right now, there are 35,011 people experiencing homelessness in NSW alone.
For many people, the Christmas season is filled with joy, family and good cheer. But for people living on and around our streets... it is the loneliest time of the year.
Wayside Chapel has seen the demand for food at our kitchens increase year on year, and as we prepare to welcome even more visitors than ever, we need your help...
Together, we can spread the Christmas cheer and bring joy to the most vulnerable people in our community.
The Solution
We’re asking YOU to 'Donate a Plate' to feed and support a person experiencing homelessness and social isolation this festive season.
Every dollar raised will go towards the cost of keeping our kitchens, programs and support services open throughout the holiday season, so everyone can receive the care, love and support they deserve.
Every Plate Counts
$27 can provide one meal for one person
$54 can feed a couple
$108 can feed a family of four
$270 can sponsor meals for 10 people
$540 can sponsor meals for 20 people
I'm the grinch and I hate Christmas! But I've been coming to Christmas at Wayside for the last 21 years.

Christmas at Wayside is buzzing with excitement. Decorations, Christmas carols... But Christmas can also be a lonely time for many of our visitors. Our Christmas Day Street party is a place where everyone can have fun and share a meal together.
- Alex, Wayside Staff Member
Christmas at Wayside brings everyone together. I really enjoy it, that's why I come every year. I get to meet people I don't see all the time, and catching up once a year is always a nice occasion, especially around the festive season. The tables go down the street and there's about 1,000 people that come in and out all day. The atmosphere is amazing!

You haven't lived until you have experienced Christmas Day at Wayside Chapel!
Being a volunteer is an honour and a privilege, with so many people coming together to create this extraordinary celebration, in a caring and inclusive environment. For our visitors and volunteers alike, Christmas Day at Wayside Chapel is an unforgettable experience and will keep you coming back!
- Jane, Wayside Volunteer
I have been volunteering at Wayside Chapel for the past 6 years and have seen the importance of having support over the festive season. I love having a chat with all our visitors, knowing it can be a lonely time for many. I love catering to people's needs and listening to how they want their coffee or tea perfectly made for them. Communication is present everywhere here and it's beautiful to see.

A small donation from my daughter and me. Have a special time at Christmas. My daughter will be in Sydney, but I will be alone and don't mind that at all. There are times when being alone is OK, but I am not homeless in any way. I have everything I need. Blessings to you all...Maureen
