The Problem
Right now, there are 35,011 people experiencing homelessness in NSW alone.
When people walk through the doors of Wayside, they're often in the middle of a crisis – facing homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, or seeking connection.
With the ongoing cost-of-living and financial pressures, demand for our practical assistance such as providing undies, socks and clothing are at an all-time high. In the past two years, we've seen a 65% increase – that's over 2,000 pairs of socks and undies every month!
This Valentine's Day, we're determined to bring dignity, love and support to people who need us most by providing a clean pair of undies, a hot shower and toiletries to people sleeping rough on our streets. But we need your help...
Together, we need to show the most vulnerable people in our community that they are loved, and not forgotten.

Thak you Jon and Lisa and your beautiful community at Wayside. I have found you again and spent about two hours reading your messages. I have been feeling very alone as friends have passed. However reading about Wayside from earlier days reminded of what love is. I used to frequently pass Wayside when I lived in the eastern suburbs as I walked through to the city. Thank you. I spent some time thinking of how much love your predecesser and their predecessers shared and how beautiful and life giving that is.
